Internal Medicine APP Locum Opportunity in San Francisco, CA

Job description

• Shift Details: 4x10, shifts are 10 hours with a 30-minute lunch. Shifts are split into 2 portions, one half of the day is clinic coverage, and the other half of the day is admin, telehealth, and in basket coverage for NPs out of the office. Tuesday afternoon is virtual clinic where NPs see quick care patients (rashes, UTIs, etc).

Work Details:
• Support staff: NP in clinic will have 1:1 MA or LVN, 15 NPs on service, 200ish physicians
• Patients per day: 4-8. 8 time slots, some patients take 2 time slots. Ages 18+
• Department description: very complex patient population. E-consults available for APPs when needing consultations with specialists like neurologists.
• EMR: EPIC
• Skills required: Must be experienced and competent seeing complex and very sick patients.
Practice Setting: Outpatient

Requirements:
• CA license/DEA
• Certifications required: BLS
• Minimum experience required: 3 years of experience in internal medicine or general medicine. Willing to consider those with experience in family medicine. Must have strong experience working with medically complex populations. Strongly prefer candidates with prior ER or ICU experience
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60 – 90 days
