Assist with after-hours on-call rotation (time/process TBD)
Setting: Working in health services room on campus/College
This role includes clinical assessment and treatment, management of acute and chronic conditions, participation in on-call coverage, community and campus partner outreach, and the supervision and education of health care staff
Primarily clinical (70-80%), with 20-30% allocated administrative time
Perform comprehensive physical and gynecological examinations.
Order and interpret diagnostic laboratory and imaging tests.
Formulate and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines.
Identify and manage acute and chronic health problems using various modalities, including lifestyle counseling.
Make appropriate referrals for specialty care, hospitalization, or emergency care.
Evaluate patient responses to care plans, make necessary modifications, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Serves in a consultative role to the clinical team and serves as clinical administrator on duty within the clinic
Lead the clinical team in emergency procedures.
Participate in the after-hours on-call system to provide continuous care for students.
Document all clinical interactions in the electronic health records system.
Develop educational presentations for clinical staff and assist the Assistant VP of Health and Wellness in coordinating clinical meetings.
Required Qualifications
NYS RN and NP Licenses and ANCC Board Certification.
BLS, ACLS, PALS (if applicable) Certification
DEA Certification
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in college health or a similar environment
