Annual patient volume: ~32,000 patients
Admission Rate: Approx. 4-10 per 24/hr
ESI Scale: 3-4, sometimes 5
Physicians typically see 18-20 patients in 12 hr shift, PAs see 25-30 (lower acuity) patients in 12 hr shift
Daily patient volume: ~90-100 patients
Structure of coverage: 1 day physician (7A-7P), 1 night physician (7P-7A)
Mid-level coverage: 2 PA shifts: 9A-9P and 12P-12A
ED/Bed Size: 22 beds, 2 Trauma Rooms, 1 Designated Sexual Assault Examiner Room
EMR: Meditech
Transfers for trauma (cardio, stemis, strokes, etc.) We coordinate with major medical centers for trauma airlift or ground transport
Solo Physician
EM or FM board certification: FM MUST have extensive (10+ years) of ED experience
Transfers for trauma (cardio, stemis, strokes, etc.) We coordinate with major medical centers for trauma airlift or ground transport
A couple of years ER experience required
Provider must be fully vaccinated.
NC Medicaid and Medicare/PECOS enrolled
Provider must have DEA with NC address.
Active NC license
ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications
New providers must have an additional date of availability for 4-hour, in-person orientation. Orientation will take place during routine business hours.
