About the clinician's workday
The current model consists of 19 MDs and 25 CRNAs. Documentation is handled through the EPIC electronic medical record system. Patient volume varies, with an average of 7 to 10 cases per day in the operating room and approximately 20 cases per day in the GI lab. The standard shift hours are weekdays from 7 AM to 5 PM. The types of cases seen include obstetrics, outpatient surgery, neurology, orthopedics, major vascular surgeries, and trauma, though the facility does not handle complicated pediatric cases or transplants.
