Locums Critical Care APP Opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts

Job description

• Support staff: 4 APPs on staff who are supervised. MD supervises during day shift; fellow/attending supervises during night shifts. Some independence is good.
• Coverage Type: 3 x 13 hour shifts; Locum needs to be open to days and nights. Or nights only. No days only providers.

• Avg. Daily Census: 7
• Beds: 7 will be expanding to 10 by January
• Patient Age Group: Adult
• Procedures: bread and butter ICU and Med Surg. There is 1 to 2 burn patients. No intubations, no lines, no vents, no transplants, no ECHO, no heads, no EVD, no complex neuro stroke. The APPs are “responding clinicians” only. No procedures.
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d
• State License(s): MA license required for NPs
Willing to License PAs
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• DEA required
• Years of Experience Req’d: 2 years in critical care
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
Additional info: Typical Day: APP will round with Attending in the morning, complete tasks and round again in the afternoon
