JOB DESCRIPTION
A federal clinic in southeastern New Mexico has an opening for a Family Medicine Physician or Advanced Practitioner to provide part-time locum coverage.
Assignment Details:
Schedule: 7.5-hour shift, 1 day per week
No call required
Setting: Onsite
Patient Volume: 178 total young adults in program
Patient Population: 16-24 years old
Duties: Provide basic primary care medical services, serve as medical director, and provide supervision
Knowledge of basic healthcare for disadvantaged youth preferred
Must be board-certified

QUALIFICATIONS
Current DEA registration
Master's or Doctoral degree in Family Practice, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Family Practice physician license in the state of New Mexico
Board certification in Family Practice or Palliative Care
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a primary care setting.
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Be highly collaborative, and enjoy leading care teams with a patient-centric orientation
Confident in his/her ability to deliver high quality primary care, which includes being available to patients and addressing their medical and social needs
