A Geriatrics facility is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician Associate for locum tenens coverage.
The facilities are located in Buena Vista, VA and Clifton Forge, VA.
The assignment is 90 days long, with a 1-week credentialing timeframe. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with 3 days split between two locations and 2 days at Buena Vista. The facility has no on-call requirements and sees an average of 20-22 patients per day (about 3 per hour), primarily geriatrics. NP/PA only is considered for the role. Required certifications include a VA license and DEA. Support staff includes an MD (1 day/week), Director of Nursing, admin staff, LPNs, and CNAs. The EMR system used is Point Click Care/Gerimed.
