A critical access hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in a small town of about 1,462 residents, located in McLean County, known for its small-town values, a rich history, and proximity to Lake Sakakawea, offering recreational opportunities like fishing and hunting.
This role involves rounding on up to five hospital patients per day, with cases typically including pneumonia, CHF, COPD, and chronic comorbid condition management. In the ED, the most common cases are abdominal pain, chest pain, seasonal URIs, musculoskeletal pain, and urgent care visits. Patient volume varies seasonally, averaging around five per day in the winter and 10 per day in the summer.
